📜 Tapescripts

Part 1
Leo: Excuse me, Ms. Green? I'm interested in joining a new club.
Ms. Green: Of course, Leo. Which one are you thinking of? The DIY Workshop?
Leo: No, the one about helping the community.
Ms. Green: Ah, you must mean The Helping Hands Club. It’s a wonderful new group.
Leo: Yes, that's the one! Who's the teacher in charge?
Ms. Green: That would be Mr. Peterson.
Leo: Mr. Patterson?
Ms. Green: No, Peterson. Let me spell that for you. It's P-E-T-E-R-S-O-N.
Leo: Ok, I got it. Where will the first meeting be?
Ms. Green: Well, most of the meetings will be in the Community Hall, but for the first one, we're meeting in the library. It’s quieter so we can plan our activities.
Leo: The library. Great. And what time is that?
Ms. Green: The meeting starts at... let me see... 3:00 p.m. Oh wait, my apologies, that was an old note. It starts at 3:30 p.m.
Leo: 3:30 p.m. No problem. And what will we be doing in the first meeting?
Ms. Green: We'll be making posters to advertise our upcoming charity drive.
Leo: Making posters. Sounds fun! Thank you so much, Ms. Green.
Ms. Green: You're very welcome, Leo.

Part 2
Maria: Good morning, everyone. My name is Maria, and for my project, I want to talk about our city. I love living here, but like any big city, it has some problems we need to solve to make it more liveable, especially for young people.
The most significant challenge, as I'm sure you all agree, is traffic congestion. The more cars on the road, the more polluted our air becomes. Some people think the solution is to build more roads, but research shows this often just encourages more traffic. I believe the better solution is to improve our public transport, making it cheaper and more reliable so people leave their cars at home.
Another issue is the lack of green space. Our city feels like a concrete jungle sometimes. While having a big central park is nice for tourists, what we really need are more small, local green spaces within our communities – places where we can relax and hang out with friends after school.
In conclusion, we can't just sit back and wait for the city council to do everything. We, the young people of this city, must be part of the solution. We can start small, by organising community cleanups or creating a proposal for a new local park. Let's work together to make our city a better place for everyone. Thank you.
