Part 1
Mr. Davison: Good morning. Can I help you? Anna: Yes, good morning. I'd like to join the volunteer club. I think it's called the Green School Club? Mr. Davison: That's right! Welcome. I'm Mr. Davison, the teacher in charge. Let me just get some details from you. Anna: OK. Mr. Davison: First, if you need to contact me, my phone number is 098 555 141... oh wait, my mistake, the last number is 2. Anna: Ok, I got it. Mr. Davison: Great. Now, our club does many things, from cleaning the streets to planting trees. Do you have any skills or activities you particularly enjoy? Anna: Well, I love outdoor activities. I really enjoy gardening. Mr. Davison: Excellent. Have you done any volunteer work before? Anna: Yes. Last year, my class donated things to children in mountainous areas. We thought about donating old clothes, but then we decided to donate books because they needed them more. Mr. Davison: That's wonderful. Just so you know, our club meets once a week in the afternoon. It used to be on Friday, but this year we meet on Saturday. Anna: Saturday afternoon is perfect for me. Mr. Davison: Fantastic. I'll add your name to the list.
Part 2
Hi everyone, my name is Mark, and today I want to share a little bit about my hobbies. When I was younger, I tried jogging every morning, but honestly, I found it boring. Then my friend suggested collecting stamps, but I wasn't interested in collecting things. I soon discovered that my real passion is making things, especially making models. I build small dollhouses and model cars. This hobby has taught me a lot. It helps with my creativity, of course, as I have to design the houses and furniture. But the most valuable lesson it has taught me is to be patient. You can’t rush it. Sometimes one small model takes a whole month to finish. On weekends, I don’t just stay home with my models. My grandfather lives in a nursing home, and I visit him. He has a small garden there, and I often help him with it. We plant vegetables and flowers together. He always gives me health tips. He tells me to eat lots of colored vegetables, and he also says to avoid soft drinks because they are unhealthy. I follow that advice carefully. Some people think making models is expensive. But for my dollhouses, I don't buy new things. I use old cardboard boxes and pieces of cloth that my mother gives me. So, it's actually a very cheap hobby for me and it’s good for the environment too!
