PART 1 (Dialogue: Leo and Sarah)
Sarah: Good morning, Cultural Travel Agency. Sarah speaking.
Leo: Hi, I’d like some information about the "Tribal Experience" day trip. I wanted to go this Saturday.
Sarah: Let me check the schedule. Oh, I’m sorry. We usually run it on Saturdays, but this week, due to a local festival, the trip has been moved to Sunday. Is that okay?
Leo: Sunday? Yes, that actually works better for me. Which village are we visiting?
Sarah: We are going to Branton Village. It’s famous for its stilt houses.
Leo: Could you spell that, please?
Sarah: Sure. It is B-R-A-N-T-O-N. Branton.
Leo: Got it. And how much is the ticket?
Sarah: The standard adult price is $50. However, if you have a valid student ID card, there is a discount. It's only $35 for students.
Leo: Great, I’m a student. What will we do there?
Sarah: In the morning, you will visit a workshop. We used to offer pottery classes, but the teacher is away. So, this time, you will learn weaving. You can make a small scarf.
Leo: Sounds interesting! Do we go there by bus?
Sarah: We take a bus to the mountain base, but to reach the village, we travel by boat. It takes about 30 minutes along the river.
Leo: Perfect. I'd like to book...
PART 2 (Monologue: Dr. Alan Grant)
Dr. Alan Grant: Hello everyone. Today I’m going to talk about the changing lifestyles of the Northern Tribe... In the past, you would see dogsleds everywhere... However, nowadays... almost every family now owns a snowmobile, which is their main way to get around quickly.
Regarding their diet... They still hunt for seal and fish... However, they can't grow crops... So, for things like carrots or potatoes, it is common practice to buy vegetables from the local supermarket.
Education is also changing... Today, thanks to technology, they can attend online learning classes. The students love this because they don't have to leave the village and can stay with their families.
Finally... Every evening, the elders gather the children and tell legends about their ancestors... This usually happens right after the evening meal, which serves as a daily family reunion where everyone chats and relaxes.
