Sarah: Hi Leo! I didn't see you at the park yesterday. Leo: Oh, hi Sarah. I was busy with my hobby. Sarah: Really? What is it? I love learning about people’s hobbies. Leo: I enjoy collecting things. My cousin collects teddy bears, which is cute, but my hobby is collecting coins from different countries. It’s fascinating. Sarah: That sounds unusual! My hobby is simpler. I love gardening. Leo: Gardening? That’s great! It’s an outdoor activity. My sister loves it too. She says it’s very cheap, you just need some seeds and soil. Sarah: Exactly! It's very relaxing. By the way, what did you do last weekend? Leo: My volunteer club went to the local park. We thought about going to the nursing home, but then we decided the park needed more help. We planted some trees there. Sarah: Wonderful! I sometimes get sunburn when I’m gardening for a long time. Leo: Oh, you should wear a hat then. Using suncream is also a good idea to protect your skin. Sarah: Good tip, thanks! Do you have any club activities this weekend? Leo: Yes, we do. We're going to clean up the streets on Sunday. Do you want to join? Sarah: I'd love to, but my family is visiting my grandparents this Sunday. Maybe next time!
Hello everyone, and welcome to our session on building a better lifestyle. Today, I want to talk about two important things: staying healthy and giving back to our community. First, let's discuss health. Many young people face skin conditions like acne, and while it's a common disease, there are ways to take care of your skin. It's important to eat healthy food, like colored vegetables, and avoid soft drinks. Another key habit is getting enough sleep. You should aim for about 8 hours every day. Oh, sorry, I mean, my doctor always told me 8 hours is ideal, but new research says about 7 to 9 hours is the healthy range. Let’s say about 8 is a good average. Now, let's move on to community service. Last month, our volunteer team had a great project. We planned to donate food to the homeless, but then we found out that the local library for children needed books more. So, we changed our plan and collected and donated over 200 books. It was a huge success. Volunteering is valuable. You don’t earn money, of course, but you learn new skills and make new friends. It also makes you feel proud of what you do. For our next project, we have a few ideas. We could tutor homeless children or help the elderly with their shopping. After a long discussion, we decided that our next activity will be helping the elderly. We will start next Saturday. I hope you can join us!
