PART 1
Sarah: Hi Tom, you look worried. Are you feeling stressed?
Tom: Oh, hi Sarah. Yes, I have a lot of pressure right now. I'm very worried about my midterm exam in Science. My parents want me to get a high score.
Sarah: I understand. That sounds very stressful. Have you thought about joining a school club? It can help you relax.
Tom: I tried the Chess Club last month. The people were nice, but the club was too quiet and serious. It didn't really help with my stress. I just kept thinking about my exam.
Sarah: I see. Well, why don't you join the Arts and Crafts club? It's very different. It's not a sports club or a language club. It's a very calm and friendly place where you can just make things and relax.
Tom: That sounds nice. When does it meet?
Sarah: Let me think. The Sports club meets on Fridays... and the Language club is on Thursdays. Our club, the Arts and Crafts club, meets every Tuesday in the art room.
Tom: Okay, Tuesday. How do I join? Is it difficult?
Sarah: Not at all! It’s very user-friendly. You just need to log on to the school website. There's a page for clubs, and you can sign up there. It's very easy.
Tom: Great! Thanks for the idea, Sarah.
PART 2
Teacher: Good morning, everyone. Today, I want to talk about social media. It's a big part of your lives, so it's important to use it in a good way.
First, I am not here to tell you to stop using social media. It is not realistic to stop completely. My advice is to learn how to use it safely and wisely.
Social media has good sides. It is a wonderful tool to connect with friends and family. You can share posts, talk to people, and feel part of a community. This is very important for teenagers.
But there are also dangers. One of the biggest dangers is online bullying. This is a very serious problem. When people say mean things online, it can make others feel very sad and lonely. If this happens to you, please talk to a teacher or your parents.
So, how can you control your time? When you need to do your schoolwork, it is very hard to concentrate if your phone is always making noises. So, when you are studying, it is a good idea to turn off your notifications. You can check them later.
Finally, think before you share. Be careful when you upload pictures. Do not share very personal pictures or information like your address. It is important to keep your private information safe. Remember to be smart and kind online. Thank you.
