Part 1
Ms. Evans: Hi Leo, come in. Thanks for coming to see me. So, what's on your mind?
Leo: Hi, Ms. Evans. Well, I’ve been feeling really stressed out lately. I have so much schoolwork, and I just can't seem to balance everything. It's really affecting my sleep.
Ms. Evans: I see. Sleep is very important. How much are you getting at the moment? I hope it's around 8 hours.
Leo: I wish! I usually aim for that, but this past month... it's been more like 5 hours. I just lie awake worrying about my assignments.
Ms. Evans: Five hours is not enough. And what do you do in your free time?
Leo: Um, I play some video games, but I think the biggest problem is social media. I spend hours scrolling without even realizing it.
Ms. Evans: That’s a common distraction. My first piece of advice is to create a weekly schedule. Decide what your priorities are. And you must include some time for physical activity. Even just 30 minutes of exercise can make a huge difference to your mental health.
Leo: Exercise... okay, I can try that.
Ms. Evans: Great. Let’s meet again to see how you're doing. I'm busy next Monday, but I'm free this Friday afternoon. How does that sound?
Leo: Friday is perfect. Thank you, Ms. Evans.

Part 2
Dr. Roberts: Good morning, everyone. My name is Dr. Roberts, and today I’m here to talk about a skill that is crucial for a healthy and balanced life: time management.
Many of you probably make to-do lists. That's a good start. But have you ever made a long list and then felt overwhelmed? The issue isn't usually the length of the list, or that you forget to make one. The most common failure is that people don't decide what is most important. So, my first tip is this: after you make a list, you must set priorities.
Next, let's talk about distractions. Your mobile phone is the biggest one. You might think studying with friends is a good idea, and sometimes it is. Some of you may even find that listening to music helps you focus. However, if you really want to concentrate and accomplish a task efficiently, my strongest advice is to turn off your mobile phone and put it in another room.
Physical health is also key. We all know exercise is important. Now, you might read online that you need a full hour, or 60 minutes, every day. For a busy student, that can seem impossible. But let me tell you, research shows that even 30 minutes of moderate activity can significantly reduce stress and improve your mood. So don't aim for 60 if you can't manage it; aim for 30.
Sometimes, even with the best schedule, you can feel overwhelmed. This is when you should talk to someone—a teacher, a parent, or a school counsellor. They can provide emotional support, of course, but the real benefit is that they can help you see your problems from a new perspective, which often makes the solution seem much clearer.
Finally, and this is perhaps the most important point. While it’s good to be optimistic and work hard, you must also be realistic. Don't plan to study for six hours straight without a break. Don't expect to finish a huge project in one night. Set achievable goals. That is the true secret to managing your time and maintaining a healthy, happy life. Thank you.
